Interesting approach to help overcome a condition which can make our lives very uncomfortable. With the help of hypnotherapy we may learn relaxation techniques and rehearse them so that our subconscious mind will be able to use them when needed during our daily life. We may also be able to mentally rehearse the suggestions given in this article, from behavioural strategies- such as inviting the symptom and preparing for whatever reactions this may cause- to mentally rehearse those beliefs that will be benefitial to us – such as learning to have compassion for ourselves-. We may understand these behaviours and beliefs to be benefitial to us from a rational point of view, but still find it difficult to apply them or actually believe them. With the contribution of hypnotherapy we can learn techniques which will help us integrate those new benefitial elements into our subconscious mind, and apply them to our every day life.
