Kevin Breel: Confessions of a depressed comic

Filmed May 2013 • Posted Sep 2013 • TEDxKids@Ambleside

Very clearly exposed idea: Perfection does not exist, we are people. Watch this 11minute video to hear about depression and the power of acceptance amongst other things. Mr. Breel even uses at one point the type of language which could be directly used in hypnotherapy: he talks about “going down the valleys to be able to see the peaks”, and visiting the dark in order to know that there is light.  Two beautiful and clear metaphors which speak of the imaginary of this inspiring man.

Visualising the way our mind represents positiveness and rehearsing this type of visualisation from a hypnotic state is one example of a way in which hypnotherapy can contribute to improving our emotional well being.
