Here is an interesting article considering undesired behaviour and a way to swap in for desired behaviour, written by Oliver Burkeman in The Guardian Friday 7 December 2012.

The learning and regular practice of a hypnotic state can contribute to promote the awareness of the present mentioned here, basic to the idea of Mindfulness. Hypnotherapy offers techniques and methods to learn to relax and to explore our inner mind from a place of safety and security.
