Meditation and Exercise May Decrease Cold Symptoms

“Bruce Barrett, MD, PhD, from the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and colleagues report their findings in the July/August issue of the Annals of Family Medicine

…if these results are confirmed in future studies, there will be important implications for public and private health-related policy and practice, as well as for scientific research regarding mechanisms of health maintenance and disease prevention.”

Hypnotherapy can contribute to the teaching of exercises which promote the exploration of the inner self, in a similar way to meditation. Also, hypnosis can be used in order to enhance motivation and facilitate the optimum state of mind and determination to undertake behavioural change, in this case the adoption of an appropriate exercise routine.
