Depression and Hypnotherapy

Here is an article which discusses the treatment of depression, the use of anti-depressants and the potential use of alternative therapies such us hypnotherapy. The piece reviews a study published at the British Medical Journal in 2007. This is an example of the presence of hypnotherapy and the awareness that the medical profession has had of it in the recent years.

Following an ethical code of conduct, the prescription of medical drugs should always be respected by the hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy can be employed as an alternative therapy but also as a complementary aid to the treatment of complex and multi layered conditions such as depression.
